- Ventilate the loft — clear or install eaves vents (with rafter trays holding insulation back), add tile or ridge vents where the felt is airtight; cross-flow is the goal.
- Cut the moisture supply — seal and insulate the loft hatch, seal penetrations and downlight leaks, lid the water tank.
- Re-route rogue ducts — extend bathroom/kitchen extract ducts through the roof or eaves to genuine external terminals with insulated ducting.
